Cooking in Clerkship

Hey everyone! Welcome to Cooking in Clerkship! I am Meghan, and I am a recent survivor of the sprinted marathon that is Clerkship. For those of you that are not in medical school, clerkships are a year or so of long work weeks, and spending as much time as possible in the hospital. It is the best and the worst year rolled into one. My school allows us to travel extensively for clerkships, and so my limited free time was spent in a hotel room with a mini-fridge and a microwave. Cooking and nutrition are both passions of mine. When I found myself eating frozen meals and eating out more, I was losing part of myself. I was directly going against what I was advising my patients to do as well. So, I began coming up with new ways to make my favorite recipes that I would usually cook in a traditional kitchen that I could now make in a microwave or with limited kitchen supplies.
